Racquets will be distributed to various charitable youth organizations throughout Northeast Ohio. Some of the charitable organizations that your donations have gone to are The Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland, Girl Scouts of NEO, Camp Sunrise, Chagrin Falls Park Community Center and YMCA Geauga County Branch. |
Please visit your local tennis club or one of the clubs listed below and look for a "Racquets For Rookies" drop off bin. If your club does not have a collection bin, please Racquets For Rookies and we will arrange a pickup.
May 5, 2009 Update:
Racquets For Rookies is a successful on going project that started in January 2008. We have donated over 160 racquets so far and are currently working on our largest order yet! The City of Cleveland Parks and Recreation has eleven facilities that have tennis courts. This wonderful non-profit organization is in dire need of tennis racquets and balls for the children's camps (ages 8-18) that start in June! They would love to offer tennis as one of their activities, but they need the equipment! We are hoping to offer them 100-200 racquets!
Please help us to help others learn and play the game of tennis! If you have any racquets to donate, just email us and we will come and pick them up!
